Four mistakes that are made frequently in the Five Card Draw Limit.
1. Playing with too weak cards at the beginning of the game
If
you are on the position right after BB, you should very carefully
consider your next step. You have to be aware that after you three or
four other persons will make their moves, depending what step you did.
Because you do not know what cards they have, you should undertake some
safe strategy. At the beginning of the game, it is worth to play
aggressively, if you have strong combinations. About start

2. Evening out to BB
Evening
out you allow your partners to easy match their cards to weaker
combinations. In 5cd game, you build your domination on the fact, that
your cards are stronger, than those of the other players are. Other
players have to pay for the possibility of matching new cards, so that
you earn more money having good cards. Remember, you can always „Bet”
or „Fold”!
3. Wrong matching
It
is strongly recommended not to match new cards to your present cards,
if there are less than three other players in the game. Even if you
win, your winnings will not cover the investment you made. The only
exceptions are two positions, namely SB and BB. Being on SB position
you pay only the half of required sum, so two other players are
sufficient to make a profit. On BB position, you can match cards
without paying for that, so it is worth trying.
4. Entering the game after a raise
Even
if you have good cards, you have to watch out, when other players are
raising. For example a pair of Kings on the last position may seem to
be very attractive, however is worthless, if somebody else has already
risen.
